Luvhone is proud to have been accredited by the South African Receiver of Revenue Services (SARS) as an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), after having met all the requirements for certification for Compliance Level-1 accreditation. This accreditation is in accordance with United Nations World Customs Organisation’s (WCO), Customs-to-Business partnership program. Under this program, Luvhone as an AEO is a trusted partner to SARS towards supporting the work of the South African customs authority to efficiently realise and implement the WCO Customs SAFE framework of standards.
Our collaboration with SARS has been both rewarding and valuable. One of the key advantages of the program is the authorization to use the globally recognised AEO logo, which has enhanced our reputation and continues to strengthen our credibility within the global trade economy. As an organisation that engages in large scale international trade, the AEO accreditation demonstrates our commitment to compliance and reinforces the trust placed in us by stakeholders and international trading partners.
We recognise the WCO’s commitment to promoting a risk-based approach to customs management. The AEO Programme aligns with this objective and has created significant value for our business. The partnership with SARS has contributed to reduced operational costs at ports of entry, while also providing the flexibility to conduct customs processes at our premises when necessary. These efficiencies have streamlined our operations and improved overall business performance.
The resulting cost savings and operational improvements have enabled us to allocate additional resources toward social impact initiatives, workforce expansion, and capacity-building programs. This has allowed us to create employment opportunities and invest further in the development of our people and communities.
Overall, the AEO Programme has fostered a collaborative partnership between Luvhone and SARS, supporting the shared goal of mitigating customs-related global risks while simultaneously delivering meaningful economic benefits for our internal trade operations.
